Thank you for visiting the official website of the 2019 National Postdoctoral Survey. This survey was conceived and developed by postdocs to benefit all members of the postdoctoral community, and is a follow-up to the 2016 National Postdoc Survey, published by McConnell et al. This survey is meant to capture the experiences of classical postdoc fellows and scholars in temporary training positions, post-PhD.
The information collected in this survey will facilitate identification of important issues within the postdoctoral community, informing and equipping those who advocate for policy on behalf of postdocs everywhere.
We estimate that completion of this survey will take 20 minutes on average. This survey is anonymous and will not be linked to any personal information. Upon completion of the survey, you will be redirected to a site where you may choose to enter your contact information into a drawing for a chance to win a $500 travel award to a scientific meeting of your choice*.
Institutions with at least 50 postdoc respondents to the survey will be eligible to receive summary results from their specific institutions upon request, which will be useful for comparison to national benchmarks.
